Andrea Carrillo is an illustrator and designer based in Bentonville, AR. With a passion for storytelling, her artwork can take the form of (but is not limited to) still images, sequential work, and concept design. She works in a variety of mediums; and despite clinging to traditional media for years, Andrea now illustrates primarily digitally. Her drawings tend to be story-driven, colorful, and lighthearted. Andrea holds a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute, and has worked with multiple brands and organizations, amongst them Walmart, The Englewood Arts Center, ArtVentures, and The Coterie Theater.

Like any kid with a TV, Andrea spent a lot of time growing up watching movies and playing video games, which she now uses as inspiration for her artwork. Originally from Mexico, she first moved to the States at 14 years old. Adjusting to her new surroundings, she found refuge in both art and art making. Her cultural background is of great importance to her and something she wishes to represent within the illustration and artmaking industries.
